78ers, I look forward to seeing all who can attend our 35th reunion. If you see a classmate , please ask them if they plan to attend and to somehow get a hold of the planning committee.  Special thanks to those on the planning committee for all ther wonderful ideas and efforts.

Thanks Vince! There\'s a committee - Dan Sahr and a group of classmates living in the Pierre area. It\'s a team effort and we love doing it! Happy to hear you plan on attending!

nice site just found out about it after talking to kurt woodard

comment by Dan Sahr

78ers, sounds like a great time in Deadwood. The pictures prove that. Thanks to all who attended and those who helped put the whole weekend on.  When is the next get together ?

comment by Philip Coler

Just finished looking through the pictures of the Deadwood trip.  Really great to see so many familiar faces.  I should have made it out there, did not check the site so I did not know it was coming up.  Maybe next year!

comment by Kerry Bowers

Deadwood 2010 Photo Album is now up...including the photo you requested Tim.  Can\'t wait to see some of the others from the weekend!

comment by Tim Rounds

What a weekend!!  We had a great turn out and lots of fun.  Hopefully there will be pictures (especially the one you ladies took at 1 pm Saturday) posted on the website soon.  Looking forward to hearing discussion on the "we turned 53" reunion to be possibly held the second weekend of September, 2013  in Deadwood.

comment by Deb Johnson

Deadwood was so much fun!  My jaws are aching from laughing and my legs are aching from climbing Mt Moriah. (Thanks for putting up with my whining and bitching, Beth and Susan. I promise I will be in better shape next time.)  Everyone looked great (for a bunch of 44 year olds anyway)!  We have pictures to prove it!  Hope everyone made it home safe and sound.  Can\'t wait for our next adventure!  Deadwood will never be the same.

comment by randy sugrue

I\'m truly sorry I can\'t make it to this get together.  The bike rally is nothing to a crowd like you guys.  Remember, a teaspoon of pepto after every beer, in bed by 9, and wear a cap if it\'s chilly.

comment by Laurie Schumacher

Depending on the weather situations, I still plan to be at the Elkhorn Ridge Golf Club, Spearfish at 1:00 PM Mtn. Time, if still raining at 3:00, then I\'ll have a cuppacino or something & head to Deadwood a little later.See You All Soon!  We will miss all of the classmates of 78, that because of other priorities you are unable to attend.  Hope you had a Great 50th Birthday!Thank You,Laurie Schumacher

comment by Rod Hanson

GOLF UPDATEThere\'s very little interest in the golf thing so I\'m suggesting that whoever wants to play.....just show up. So far just one team on Fri., but Sat. may be different.I\'m thinking that on Fri. night during cocktails we\'ll put a few teams together and work from there. The importance of this to have a good time...golf or not.So far it\'s Hanson,Clelland,Gordon,Doyle,Birdsall,Buhler,Nold,Laurie Schumacher,Mickelson,Furyk and Couples..We will probably scrap the structured scramble type tourney and do the A.two person best ballB.cart vs. cart....or,C.Skin\'s game.Either way we all have fun.If anyone has a suggestion pleas let me know, otherwise we\'ll meet on Fri. night and figure it out.GOT THAT DONNI?? omg, lol, gfyycsmfi.

comment by Janet (Bedsaul) Van Klompenburg

Hope you all have a great time.  Sorry to have to miss another reunion.  We are hosting get-together for a group of 76\'ers in Tahoe at the same time.  Cheers and Happy 50th to all!

comment by Derek Hazeltine

Hey 78ers -Unfortunately the demands of work (big meeting Sept 13-14) will keep me from joining our youthful group in Deadwood. Have one for me (yep, still Bud) and somebody please yell "Buhler" really loud when he first walks in the door.- Derek

comment by Kerry (Johnson) Bowers

Updated information for the September get-together can be found on the Deadwood page. Also, there is a new album set up on the Photo Album page titled "50th Birthday Celebrations" for any of you who would like to share a little bit of your special day, week, month or year.

comment by Jim Birdsall

Wow, I\'ts been awhile since I\'ve seen or heard from any classmates. I\'m looking forward to seeing alot of you in Deadwood. Chip says to find a team for golf. Can I interest three people to play a round and catch up?

comment by Rod Hanson

Donni Gordon..Fosters????...last I heard ,you were NOTsupposed to drink because the estrigen meds would have a neg. reaction to your sex change in Oct. Either way, we all support you at this time.See you in Deadwood, DonniJeez,I hope I got that "security" code right since it\'s one inch below my type.

comment by Don Gordon

Golly Chippy....I appreciate all your support and I want you to know I am a huge supporter of the humane society.  You hang in there now and for God\'s sakes stay off the roads...especially around dusk.

comment by Don Gordon

I say at the first tee box everyone has to shoot a Fosters Lager and then at the end we can have a keg race.........Chippy?

comment by Don Gordon

Lets get rollin\'  Bet I can stay up later than you!  Any takers?

comment by Rod Hanson

DUH !!! I finally figured this out...on my own(almost)thanks Kerry. If I had kids they could have saved me 3 hours of attempted messages. As you\'re aware..I did not take typing at Riggs..would have been very unfair to the teacher, whoever that was. Here is a brief AND tentative schedule on the golf at Deadwood.Fri.11am-four tee times are reserved at the new course in Spearfish(8 miles from Deadwood).Sat.9am-seven tee times are reserved at Tomahawk (Deadwood /Lead)course.Pin prizes are abound for less adept.WHO\'S IN????  finally, whoever takes this golf thing seriously will receive knobbies and monkey bumps from everyone.I\'m sorry I missed the big one at Pierre, sounds like you young bucks and does (and you too Don Gordon) had a good time.NOW...we changed the policies in jr. high...we did it again in high school......so lets show those west river Deadwood people how a real group of gray haired,no haired,or colored haired people party.CHIPPY

Deadwood  Be there!  You won\'t regret it!

comment by Kurt Woodard

A startling revelation from infrequent site monitoring is learning the heartbreaking news about Kelly. Incurably sweet, disarmingly attractive, and always willing to help a classmate. Subtly setting example by making life look easy. I loved those congenial moments when we crossed paths, and delight in knowing someone so endearing in character.

comment by Jeanne Jenkins

The hills will be so beautiful in September.  So excited to see everyone. :)

comment by Pam Bonrud

Hi Everyone!  Just got back from Spearfish and the Hills are beautiful!  Hope all is well and looking forward to seeing you in September.

Bill and I are coming back to visit July 4-8.  Will anyone be a Marso on the first Weds night in July?  If so we would like to catch up.  We will be camping out at Farm Island.  Unfortunatley we will not be able to go to Deadwood for the birthday bash later this year.  Hope to see you at Marso\'s!Anne

So sorry to hear about Kelly.  We ran away together when we were 4 to Piggly Wiggly.  She was a lot of fun and a great person.  Have fun at your reunion.  Try to do it Class of 77 style  : )

I'm one of the old guys 10/14/1959. See you in Sept. I will have a 30 min. drive but I'll  try to fit it in. Tomahawk CC is a great golf course, just up the road from Deadwood on Hwy. 385.

Connie, thanks for the work you did on getting the birthdays put together.   Good to see all those "valentines" babies....that is...those born in mid november.
