People around here cannot believe how much of a blast we had at our reunion. It was great seeing so many good friends. As much as it pains me to admit, I think Dan Sahr got something dead on with his last sentence.Anyone up for a Pierre golf outing every 2 or 3 years?Derek

comment by Nancy Stoeser Howard

What a great time I had with all of this past week end.  Thanks to my classmates that put everything together.  Also a big thanks to Mike, Mark and Dave for putting up with me on our golf team.  You were all so kind even if I really sucked!!  I'll try to improve my game before the next class of 78 tournament. Take care everyone!!

I just want to say what a great time I had during the reunion.  It was wonderful to see everyone again.  I remember what really great friends that we once were and that those friendships withstood the passage of time.  Thanks again to everyone who worked so hard to bring us all together.

I will have to say the same as most everyone else...what a fantastic time!  It was great to see everyone.  So many of you look the same!  As a class I think we are getting better, not older!!  I hope more people will share pictures, cuz' I know Dana took over 400 pictures!!  I think Don Andrews was taking many also.  Who else?  Please share.   Again, great to see you ALL!!

Well, Finally some breathing room - The Committe has most of the arrangments made.  We appologize for the delay, we had to start from scratch on addresses, married names, & even remembering our own names!   My next goal is to add my profile, and Lionels' too.  It has been a great time organizing with the Pierre/Ft Pierre Classmates.  Thanks to all of you!   Anyone wishing to bring a boat for the occassion, and you don't mind the gas prices, Great - Although we should have plenty of River Toys.  See you Soon

Each time I run into Doreen Wagner at the ball fields or school events (yes, we ended up in the same town in San Diego County!), she asks if I'm going back for the reunion.  Sorry to say, I don't think so.  Sounds like a lot of fun and I've really enjoyed reading the profiles and viewing the photos!  Enjoy!

Thanks to the committee for setting up a GREAT weekend.  Thanks also to alll those spouses (including my own) that "suffered" through the whole ordeal.  I think Mark had more fun than I did if that is possible at all.  Thanks for the great hospitality.  I'm all for Deadwood!

Had a great time - Thank You to Everyone for helping & for coming so far, or not so far.  Deadwood in 5 years is better,  since I don't turn 50 till then. Early June or Late August -  Love Ya All !

I hate to sound like a broken record, (or is it cd now)  but thanks to everyone who helped plan and coordinate all events.  It was a blast.  Mona

Tammy, way to go on your PRHS Hall of Fame induction.

Well, looks like winter has knocked on our door.  We are doing well here in Pennsylvania, just wish it was not so far to South Dakota.  Hoping to get some health issues from Iraq worked out and make it home more often.  What about a winter trip to Deadwood, instead of golf, we do a little skiing? December, January, or February should work just fine. If too cold, maybe a few drinks, poker among friends, catch up, new stories.  What do you all think? Philipphilip.coler@hp.com

It's been a very long time since I've been HOME! Looking forward to a nice time.

Now that I've caught up on my sleep, I wanted to say how much fun it was to see so many of us at the reunion!  It was a great time and I'm glad I survived.  ;)  Many thanks to the Pierre gang for pulling this together.  Like Jill, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again for our 50th birthday celebration!!  Take care everybody.

Hope you all had a great reunion weekend.  Deadwood in 3-5 years - count me in!!!

comment by Tim Rounds

A big thank you to those that put in the hours and days in planning the reunion.  Job well done.  From the what I have heard over the weekend, a "we all turn 50" reunion in Deadwood has some interest.  I will contact some hotels out there and get some group rates for the summer of 2010.  Any suggestions on dates?   Same time of year as the reunion sounds good to me.  Look forward to suggestions.

Congrats to Tammy Peterson-Williams PIERRE, S.D. – 4 people will be inducted into the Pierre High School Athletic Hall of Fame during halftime ceremonies of Saturday night’s Pierre Governor and Sioux Falls Lincoln boys basketball game at Riggs High Gym.  The four inductee’s include Tammy (Peterson) Williams.  Kristie (List) Magnino, Rollie Borth and Terry Nelson.  Williams is a 1978 graduate of Riggs High School and earned second team all state honors.  She currently still owns the Lady Govs single season record for rebounds at 246 in 1977.

I'm one of the old guys 10/14/1959. See you in Sept. I will have a 30 min. drive but I'll  try to fit it in. Tomahawk CC is a great golf course, just up the road from Deadwood on Hwy. 385.

It is so fun to read about everyone!  If I get my act together and get my kids to help me I'll try to fill you all in about my past 30 years.  Technology isn't one of my strengths and most of the time I feel and know that I am turning into my mother. As you all know my mother is a great person!!!

Deadwood update. I have secured a block of rooms at the Franklin Hotel in Deadwood.  The room rate is $119.00 per night.  To reserve a room, contact the Franklin Hotel at 1-800-688-1876.  Rooms are blocked under "Pierre class of 78." A mixer is planned for Friday night, September 10, 2010, at the Franklin.  A dinner is planned for Saturday night, September 11, at the Franklin.  I am looking into having some activities available for Saturday AM for those interested.  Some of these are golf at one of the local courses or one of several tours.  There are other hotels and motels in the area if you wish to stay elsewhere.  Most of the room rates are about the same as the Franklin. More information is forthcoming and will be posted on the website.  If you have any questions, send me an email.  Spread the word around and lets have a great turn out!

I was so sorry to hear about Kelly.  I think that she was one of the kindest persons I\'ve known. Lets all keep her sons and family in our prayers.  Be safe everyone...

Kerry, great pictures, more to come!!For those of you interested, we are talking about another get together.  Many suggestions have been brought up.  Deadwood get away every three yrs? Or a reunion in another location 2 yrs after our 35th reunion?  Lets hear ideas and hopefully put together another successful reunion.

Hey everyone! If your info, address, email address, social networks, etc have changed since the last reunion, please let us know! You can email me at kerrypierr@gmail.com or send a message through this website. Summer 2018 will be here before we know it!!

Based on the midnight (or later?) phone message from Nancy Howard, last night, it sounds like you guys were having fun!  I could hear Laurie Benham Sibson's non-stop laughing in the background!  I'm sure you have already cracked open your first of many beers of the day.  Hair of the dog!Enjoy yourselves and be safe!  I'm a mom, so I have to say that.  Enjoy!  -Cathy

Just a side bar..  I'm always amazed by the 'South Dakota' connections I stumble across.  It really is a small world.  For any of you living in Rapid City, do you know Dr. Walker?  He is from Fallbrook, CA and his brother is my horse vet, Dr. Andy Walker.

78ers, another fantastic reunion weekend.  Special thanks to all on the reunion committee.  Special thanks to Jeff Putzier and all his great food. Great to see everyone who made the weekend. Those who could not attend, we did miss seeing you and catching up on what is going on in your life.  Make plans to attend the 40th reunion or any mini reunions between now and then.

Just finished looking through the pictures of the Deadwood trip.  Really great to see so many familiar faces.  I should have made it out there, did not check the site so I did not know it was coming up.  Maybe next year!

I\'m gonna type this real slow since I know you can\'t read this real fast.WOW what a blast. So much happened so fast(at least to me) I\'m still laughing. To those who weren\'t there.....Don Gordon went into the men\'s room at the #10 Saloon and out walked anchorman Ron Burgandy in his place(it\'s11pm Fri )and commenced to dance with everyone in the place except me and Doyle. While playing my fave slot machine I saw a few classmates hammering the same machine and it was paying out pretty good so I went over there and it was the ATM. I still can\'t talk right.Ron Burgandy...are you ok???can\'t believe you didn\'t have a H attack.
